Elizabeth + Zak Batelle Darby Engagement Session | Columbus Engagement Photography
This session was honestly Kristin’s favorite from 2018. For those of you who don’t know, Batelle Darby Metro Park, is home to a family of bison, and they have a lookout where you can watch them roam. We didn’t see any of them on this Sunday evening, but we did see deer. It’s a great park with nice paths and lots of wildlife!
So typically we plan all of our sessions for golden hour to get that pretty, glowy light,. We always hope for beautiful weather, but this time of year, you just can’t count on it. In fact, our session just days before this was cold and wet, and we were definitely thinking that was the end of the good weather in Central Ohio. But we all got incredibly lucky with great temperatures, clear skies and a beautiful sunset.
Elizabeth and Zak are the cutest couple with the sweetest personalities. We had such a great time with them talking travel, wedding plans, and venturing past “road closed” signs, because I’ll do anything to get the shot I want. The session went by so quickly, it didn’t feel like work at all, more like hanging out with our good friends and capturing their love on camera. We can only imagine they will have the very best wedding day because they are so laid back.
Elizabeth + Zak, we hope you love your engagement photos! Show them off to the world- and as you scroll through your gallery, just think, you’ll have SO many more from your wedding day!! We can’t wait to photograph your beautiful barn wedding in August. It seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it!
