Fairy-tale Athletic Club of Columbus Wedding | Downtown Columbus OH

Jenna & Kaylib's fairy-tale wedding at the Athletic Club of Columbus in downtown Columbus OH, was a dream come true. We loved getting to share in their special day with their friends and family as their wedding photographers!

We started with them at the salon where the girls were getting their hair styled, drinking mimosa's and having a great time. Then we all headed to the Athletic Club where we spent the rest of the day and into the night. Everyone gathered there for makeup and getting dressed. Jenna & Kaylib chose not to see each other before their ceremony, but Jenna and her father shared a very emotional first look and it was so sweet. There was not a dry eye among us.

These two did not overlook one detail of their wedding day, including gold accents, candles lining the spiral staircase, monogrammed favor boxes, and beautiful florals. The whole venue was drenched in gorgeous roses.

Jenna's father walked her down the aisle and her beautiful ballgown and cathedral length, monogrammed veil took their guests breath away. Speaking of which, Kaylib's reaction to seeing her for the first time was really touching! Their ceremony was really personal, and together they assembled a unity cross. One piece symbolized each of them, yet when put together it created one cross. They can display that cross in their home for many, many years.

We took Kaylib, Jenna and their bridal party for a short walk through downtown Columbus to get their group and couple's portraits, and my goodness! They could seriously be models. It was incredibly stunning, and you'll see why this is always our favorite part of the day. We were short on time, but we really were able to get magical images for them.

During their reception, their guests were served a plated dinner, their maid of honor and best man gave loving speeches, and THEN, they were serenaded by Jenna's mother, who recited a (surprise) personalized rap about Jenna & Kaylib's courtship to the tune of the Fresh Prince. We're crossing our fingers that the videographers have audio that will live on for eternity!!

The newlyweds first dance was very sweet, but Jenna's father stole the show with his smooth dance moves, and during Kaylib's dance with his mother, they both shed a few tears that had us all sniffling.

Once the party was underway, the dancing never stopped!! Jenna's mom passed out flip flops for guests tired dancing feet, they were treated to Kona Ice, whose truck pulled up right outside the ACC, and the DJ kept the music pumping!

At the end of the night, Mr & Mrs. Johnson we're celebrated one last time as they made a grand exit through the front door and into a horse drawn carriage which took them down Broad St to the Scioto Mile and then back to the Athletic Club of Columbus for their after party. The drinks were still flowing and their nearest and dearest were snacking and bowling when they returned. We only stayed for a portion of the after party but it seemed like they were all having a blast!

Congratulations Jenna & Kaylib!! We wish you the very best in your marriage, and we're so grateful that you trusted us with the honor of documenting your wedding day through photos.
