When we met Emily + Eric, I told them that I had been drooling over this downtown Columbus mural and the moment I saw it knew it was the perfect spot for an engagement session. Luckily for us, they were down to do most anything we wanted. We love when clients trust us enough to have complete creative control.

The two are planning a destination wedding for March in Miami Florida at the Palms Resort and Hotel. I knew lots of color would be fun and flirty. They didn't have specific wedding colors, just bright and fun. We took the details we knew about their wedding and planned to use that as inspiration for planning. We knew we wanted the black and white mural {corner of Oak + Grant}, but we explored downtown Columbus and found a second mural which was the pop of color we were going for {Corner of Oak + 4th}. It was perfect. Emily had her hair and makeup done and Eric wore his fancy socks! We LOVE when our couples dress to impress and do it up big, because really, how many times do you get to play dress up and be models for a day? Enjoy it!

It was a super sunny mid July day, so I tried to keep them in the shade so they wouldn't melt, or squint but it was tough in an open parking spot. They were pretty good sports and we even popped in at Emily's downtown office and she so kindly gave us cold water {and a tour}.

Emily + Eric we wish you the absolute best for your wedding, wish we could be there! We're only a little jealous that you'll be in the sun and sand in March and we'll be here in bleak Ohio. We can't wait to hear all about it.

{{Update}} We are so excited, honored and blessed to announce that Emily + Eric were featured on Brides.com for their article on 25 Fun Locations for Your Engagement Photos. How cool is that?!
