North Bank Park incognito proposal | Columbus engagement photographers
We recently got a call from Daniel about proposing to his then girlfriend and he wondered if taking photos of that was something we could offer. "Of course!" I excitedly exclaimed. I gave him all the details and said if you'd like to move forward we can look at some available dates. He said, "How about tomorrow?" WOAH. Ok. So, typically that's not something we can do but in this particular instance, we were available.
So he explained his plan for the two of them, to propose near North Bank Park, and recreate a photo they'd had taken years prior (so sweet right?!). We decided together where the x would mark the spot so that Tim and I could stake it out, and be discreet all while getting a good view.
We helped him plan to take Yeilyn to dinner after, making reservations and therefore having an excuse for her to dress up. And having never met before, he was kind enough to send us a picture of the two of them together and tell us what he would be wearing so we could look out for them.
Part of our proposal package is a mini-engagement shoot. Just enough poses to share with your friends and family to announce the good news, and we have a 48 hour turnaround time. Northbank is so pretty, in my head I thought we could do their mini session in front of the fountains, but when we showed up, there was a large event happening in the pavilion and it would have been really awkward and/or rude to crash their party.
It was nearly 90 degrees so we had to work pretty quickly so they could get back into some AC and not sweat through their dressy clothes.
I promise you though, they had an amazing proposal and session afterwards.
Congrats Daniel + Yeilyn!! Best wishes!
