The funny thing about being a wedding photographer in Ohio is that we plan outdoor engagement sessions year round and well the weather here doesn't always cooperate. When Brittany + Derek said they'd like to do their engagement photo shoot at Ohio State in January, we knew we could really be in for anything, cold and barren, ice storm, negative temps or 3 feet of snow. They we're up for the challenge though and of course we never stray away from an adventure!
So actually, as it turned out, we got a snow storm the day before their session, covering the ground and it was nasty, we were concerned we might need to delay the Ohio State University photo shoot. BUT the morning of their session it was beautiful, the sun was shining, the roads and walkways had been cleared, and it had even warmed up to a balmy 25 degrees so they could take their coats off.
We had a great time wandering the south Oval from University Hall to Campbell Hall, the library and then the stadium. See for yourself some of the fun photos!
Of course no Ohio State engagement session is complete without a visit to the rotunda, so of course we had a little more casual fun here. We had to be quick though because as soon as we started snapping, the wind started whipping and we we're all going to blow away! You can see it in Brittany's hair.
These Buckeyes will be getting married this June, so check back for their wedding images after that! We can't wait for their Grandview Event Center wedding complete with a COOKIE TABLE! See, Brittany is from Youngstown just like us, and in Youngstown, we have a cookie table at weddings. We can't wait to eat, I mean photograph those cookies!
